<p>I like women who know what they want. I like their vulnerability when I ask them what, to <em>me,</em> seem self-evident questions. I like the paradigm-shift from the initial surprise of being asked to the moment they tell me. The nakedness of <em>that</em> instance and the warmth of acceptance they feel when they realize that there couldn&#8217;t have ever been any wrong answer.</p>
<p><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Study_in_Scarlet" rel="noindex" target="_blank"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-642" style="margin-right: 20px;" src="http://www.catalinstan.ro/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/holchem2.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="355" /></a>It was never about <em>me</em> wanting to know what they felt: I knew that, or at least felt it. It&#8217;s always been about them seeing that I see it deep within. I carefully choose my words. In fact, by the time you read this, I might have re-writen it 43 times.<em> (carefully note that 43 = 42 + 1)</em>. It&#8217;s never about <em>me</em> having to know. It&#8217;s always about me having to be discovered in surprise. I hold delivery in high esteem. Now what the fuck/frak &#8211; or whatever derogatory, <em>defulatorry*</em> word you enjoy having lying around &#8211; is that all about?  Surely it can&#8217;t be that difficult to see!<br />
<span style="color: #808080;"><em>*(English actually doesn&#8217;t have a proper expression for the meaning of the original word: it only provides &#8230; well &#8230; &#8216;vent&#8217; vs défouler).</em></span></p>
<p>As much as I like to &#8211; <em>only amongst friends</em> &#8211; joke about myself as the holder of absolute truth, I truly have no ideea. Truth of the matter is that this is <em>just</em> an introspection. I often think that this is the most difficult and most erosion<em>ous*</em> thing we could do to ourselves. This is why I tend to give most credit to people who have done it and come out <em>alive.</em> This is why I hold <em>this</em> above all other human endeavours. I guess it&#8217;s a bit of &#8220;know thyne enemy and know thyself &#8220;<em>&#8230;<br />

<p><em></em><em>&#8230; it&#8217;s the wrong kind of  place to be thinking of you. it the wrong time &#8230;</em></p>
<p>It takes courage to stare down into the face of the abyss, knowing that the abyss always stares back at you; <strong><em>that</em></strong>&#8216;s what <em>he </em>was on about. Truthfully, we all strive to be <em>Nietzscheans*</em>: the apotheosis of all things we hold powerful and true. The apotheosis of &#8230; perfection (<em>highly pretentious words</em>). Why? Acceptance!(?) Core. Self validation!(?) That <em>has</em> to be it. Surely: <strong>I </strong>!!! No other value can be higher than &#8216;I&#8217;! None. I am <em>it &#8230;</em> bar none.<br />

<p>I know what I want. I know I like women who know who they are and act acordingly.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s never been about making them uncover veil after veil. It&#8217;s never been about making them fulfill their &#8220;true potenttial&#8221;. To me, it&#8217;s much more subtile than this. It&#8217;s about the utter joy in realizing that, after someone made you see in yourself <em>what </em>you only aspired to, made you realize you <em>were</em> what you had always wanted to be, that they had done this selflessly, in spite of feelings we often disassociate with such states.</p>
<p>I find it sad to live in times where such statements are &#8230; relevant. When such things have to be spelt out loud. These <em>are </em>self-evident truths. Should it then be possible that love and knowledge of self and kindred selves are not mutually exclusive? Why that&#8217;s preposterous!! There must be something else behind it. And if there is &#8230; ? Then I cannot &#8230; . But if they know that I know that they know &#8230; ? Hmmm &#8230;.</p>

<p>I find it harsh and cinic that we&#8217;ve come to regard genuine love, the one that makes you … well &#8230; <em>you,</em> without requiring, without wanting you to trade, the ones who sense the smell of your skin even when you don&#8217;t, the ones who don&#8217;t keep scores and who don&#8217;t <em>expect</em> &#8230; as a <em>charade</em>. It&#8217;s blatant. It&#8217;s abusive, demeaning and irresponsible. It&#8217;s &#8230;</p>

<h3>Ce este sistemul 2%?</h3>
<p>Sistemul &#8220;2%&#8221; permite contribuabililor, persoane fizice, sa directioneze 2% din impozitul lor pe venit catre o organizatie neguvernamentala. Este sistemul prin care fiecare are posibilitatea sa decida, in mod direct, ce se intampla cu impozitul lui si nu implica nici un cost financiar suplimentar din partea contribuabilului. Daca nu folosesti optiunea de a directiona 2% catre o organizatie, precum Asociatia &#8220;Aripi Romanesti&#8221;, suma respectiva va fi incasata si gestionata de stat.</p>
<h3><span id="more-488"></span>Cum poti sustine aviatia din Romania?</h3>
<p>Fie ca ne esti prieten, admirator sau colaborator, sta in puterea ta sa sustii promovarea aviatiei in Romania! Cere statului sa redirectioneze catre Asociatia &#8220;Aripi Romanesti&#8221; 2% din impozitul pe venit! Directionarea a 2% din impozitul tau este o optiune si nu oobligatie.</p>
<h3>De ce sa redirectionati 2% din impozitul pe venit catre Asociatia&#8221;Aripi Romanesti?</h3>
<p>Pentru a contribui la promovarea aviatiei si aeronauticii romanesti, in tara si peste hotare; pentru a ajuta la educarea si sensibilizarea opiniei publice cu privire la aviatie si la activitatile adiacente acesteia; pentru ca au dovedit ca au capacitatea de a lucra in proiecte complexe, inclusiv cu entitatile guvernamentale si private, printre care Statul Major al Fortelor Aeriene, Aeroclubul Romaniei, Muzeul Aviatiei si comunitatea Romanian Spotters.</p>
<h3>Completeaza formularul 230 si depune-l pana la data de 16 mai 2011!</h3>
<p>Descarca formularul 230 precompletat de la <a href="http://bit.ly/fjeQVv" target="_blank">http://bit.ly/fjeQVv</a> sau depe <a href="http://www.aripiromanesti.ro/ftp/kit/acte/Form_230_AripiRomanesti_001.pdf" target="_blank">site-ul Asociatiei &#8220;Aripi Romanesti&#8221;</a> si completeaza datele tale in sectiunea <em>I. DATE DE IDENTIFICARE A CONTRIBUABILULUI</em>. Nu este necesar sa completezi alte campuri!</p>
<p>Semneaza si dateaza formularul. Trimite formularul prin posta, prin scrisoare recomandata sau depune personal formularul la Administratia Finantelor Publice a localitatii de domiciliu pana la data de <strong>16 mai 2011</strong>. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Am citit cateva lucruri interesante weekend-ul asta, despre care as fi putut sa scriu destul de multe, insa ce m-a impresionat cu adevarat e clipul de mai jos. Asa cum spune si textul din dreapta lui, e &#8220;intoarcerea acasa&#8221; a unuia dintre aparatele <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concorde" target="_blank">Concorde</a>, care ramasese la New York, dupa <a href="http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20000725-0" target="_blank">accidentul de la Gonesse</a>.Intr-adevar, Concorde a fost un aparat cu adevarat unic. <p>Imediat dupa ce am vazut <a href="http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&amp;q=star+wars&amp;x=0&amp;y=0" target="_blank">Razboiul Stelelor</a> sau <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092329/" target="_blank">Captain Power</a> am vrut un pistol cu laser. Cand a aparut <a href="http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&amp;q=star+trek&amp;x=0&amp;y=0" target="_blank">Star Trek</a> in viata mea, deja evoluasem la un cu totul si cu totul alt nivel. Vroiam un <a href="http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Phaser" target="_blank">phaser</a> numai al meu, dar crescusem destul incat sa imi dau seama ca nu voi avea niciodata asa ceva.</p>
<p>Bineinteles, am crescut si am inceput sa invat despre ele si am aflat cum laserul nu este lumina vizibila si, chiar daca as avea, intr-o zi unul, nu o sa ma ajute cu nimic daca nu e ceata sau fum afara astfel incat lumina sa aiba ceva &#8220;particule&#8221; de care sa se reflecte.</p>
<p>Cu toate astea, ziua a venit. Via <a href="http://planenews.com/modules.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=8472" target="_blank">Planenews Aviation News Portal</a>, aflam ca proiectul <a href="http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/budget/fy2001/dot-e/airforce/01abl.html" target="_blank">ABL (Airborne Laser)</a> este gata de instalare. Scopul lui este de a distruge rachete balistice in zbor, facand astfel parte dintr-un defensive grid absolut paranoic al americanilor.</p>

Da, la atacurile hackerilor. Problema ar fi in faptul ca retelele aparatului (flight data, service info, accesul la internet al pasagerilor) sunt interconectate si comunica intre ele.Desi cei de la Boeing spun ca exista firewall-uri si ca, desi datele pot trece dintr-o retea in alta, este absout imposibil pentru pasageri sa acceseze     sistemele de navigatie ale aparatului, gandul nu poate face decat sa ma nelinisteasca.In alta oridne de idei, exista in articolul pe care l-am mentionat un link la o <a href="http://www.nmrc.org/pub/present/shmoocon-2006-sn.ppt" title="Hacking the Friendly Skies">prezentare Power Point</a>  despre siguranta laptop-urilor domniilor voastre prin aeroporturi si terminale. Cititi-o. Cu prima ocazie am sa investighez cateva din lucrurile de acolo.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Acum ceva vreme ma intreba o prietena daca poti sa mergi pe unde vrei tu cu avionul tau personal, si ce anume se intampla daca, stiu eu, intri prin zone nepermise. Azi mi-am adus aminte de intrebarea asta imediat ce am citit articolul de pe <a href="http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/06/21/europe/EU-GEN-France-Plane-Intercepted.php" target="_blank">Herald Tribune</a>.Ma gandesc la saracii oameni de pe aeroportul Orly, temporar inchis care au inghitit scurt cateva ore de intarziere pe seama pilotilor germani. Foarte interesant trebuie sa fie sa iesi si tu cu avionul la plimbare si sa te trezesti, deodata, cu un avion de vanatoare langa tine, care iti face semne disperate sa aterizezi ca &#8230; sunt probleme.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>De ceva vreme, de cand am devenit mai in cunostinta de cauza, tot incerc sa gasesc un motiv (real) pentru care &#8220;nu e voie&#8221; cu telefoane mobile in avioane. <p>Dar &#8230; iata &#8230;  de la <a href="http://www.wnem.com/Global/story.asp?S=6680316&amp;nav=7k7B" target="_blank">Airbus si Associated Press</a> vine vestea cea mare: in avioanele Airbus se va putea vorbi la telefonul mobil. Incredibil, as putea adauga, este faptul ca asta va incepe din Europa si nu din State.</p>
<p>Ma rog, nu e chiar asa de incredibil, avand in vedere ca Airbus e o companie europeana. In orice caz, cu un singur carrier sau nu, abia astept sa pot sa dau un telefon linistit din avion, <img src='http://www.catalinstan.ro/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><strong>Later edit:</strong> Ok , nu  m-am lamurit inca prea bine cum o sa functioneze exact toata treaba asta. Exista provider-ul de infrastructura in-flight, care va fi OnAir. Dar sunt curios daca voi folosi reteaua lor (ergo roamnig) sau voi putea folosi retelele din tarile peste care zbor.</p>
<p>Ar fi destul de frustrant sa fii in mijlocul unei conversatii in timp ce avionul trece peste o granita si sa se intrerupa convorbirea pentru ca nu mai are carrier-ul semnal. Ceea ce ma face sa ma intreb. Oare Vodafone o fi avand acoperire la 10 000 de metri ?!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Asa cum unii dintre voi poate stiti, eu am o mica problema cu ochii, fapt ce ma impiedica sa pun in practica multe dintre traznaile care imi tec prin cap. Azi am dat insa peste <a href="http://www.aviation-weblog.com/50226711/blind_man_flies_from_london_to_sydney.php" target="_blank">un post</a>, intr-unul dintre blog-urile pe care le citesc, care m-a cutremurat, m-a umplut de incredere si de adminiratie pentru omul respectiv. (stiu ca suna exagerat de pompos si mai lipsea doar cuvantul <em>profund</em> din toata insiruirea de mai sus dar asta e:<em> live with it!</em>)</p>
<p>Imi aduce aminte de o replica din Pearl Harbor, in care presedintele Truman (sper sa nu gresesc) &#8211; care nu isi putea folosi picioarele &#8211; se ridica de la masa si spunea: <em>Do not tell ME it can&#8217;t be done! </em></p>
<p>Nu cred ca mai pot exista scuze in momentul asta pentru a nu face un lucru sau a nu duce la buna indeplinire un task, de orice dimensiune ar fi el, atunci cand exista dorinta adevarata de a face ceva. Totul e sa vrei si sa fii dispus sa faci ce trebuie facut. Mult mult respect si admiratie pentru personajul in cauza.</p>

<p><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instrument_Landing_System" title="Instrument Landing System Approach" target="_blank">ILS Approach</a> 1.0.1: ILS-ul contine 2 componente: <em>Localizer</em>, care arata pozitia orizontala a pistei si <em>Glide Path</em>, care precizeaza, asa cum ii spune si numele, panta pe care trebuie s-o urmeze avionul cand aterizeaza. Combinatia acestor doua elemente face ca approach-ul ILS sa fie un approach &#8220;de precizie&#8221;. Buuun!</p>
<p>Ce aud acum 5 minute la Otopeni?! In stilul caracteristic, &#8221; Ne pare rau dar pentru runaway 26L numai localizer avem, ca glidepath iz not wărking&#8221;.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Nu. Nu a sarit in aer; doar e &#8220;in aer&#8221; sau, mai bine zis, &#8220;pe aer&#8221;; de fapt e pe &#8220;teava&#8221;.  In fine, atc-ul de la otopeni (sau cel putin asa e titlul) are stream &#8220;live&#8221;.</p>
<p>Putin background: ma intereseaza foarte mult procedurile aviatiei comerciale. Exista foarte multe site-uri care ofera stream-uri audio ale aeroporturilor din lume (spre exemplu <a href="http://www.liveatc.net/" target="_blank">www.liveatc.net</a>). Acum cateva zile am descoperit in lista respectiva de stream-uri (vreo 600 la numar) si LROP (codul pentru aeroportul otopeni). Brici. Mai ales ca nu stiam cum sa fac sa pun mana pe un radio care sa prinda frecventele intre 119 si 139 MHz, pe care opereaza aeroporturile civile.</p>
<p>In prima faza nu se auzea nimic. Dezamagire. Apoi becul: hello, asta e Otopeni nu e JFK, nu e chiar asa de multe avioane.  Il ascult de cateva zile si e absolut senzational. Dupa cateva ore de ascultat imi dau seama ca, de fapt nu e Otopeni Tower, asa cum era scris pe link, ci Bucharest Approach. Diferenta este ca Approach-ul controleaza avioanele care intra in spatiul aerioan al Bucurestiului, la o distanta mai mica de ţ mile marine, in apropierea aeroporturilor, in timp ce turnul din Otopeni isi vede de felia lui de avioane care vin si pleaca.</p>
<p>In primul rand,  legile care guverneaza aviatia spun ca, in aviatia comerciala, toate comunicatiile intre controlorii de trafic si turnul de control se fac in engleza. De ce? 1) Americanii au inventat aviatia, la modul propriu. 2) Nu toti e romani si trebuie ca toti sa auda ce se vorbeste si, mai mult, sa si inteleaga (inclusiv instructiunile date celorlaltor avioane).</p>
<p>Dar &#8230;. [drumroll] &#8230; e cel putin ciudat sa vorbesti in engleza cu un alt roman si sa fii foarte serios in legatura cu asta. Deci rezultatul e mai jos.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Azi am contactat omuletii de la <a href="http://www.regional-air.ro/" title="http://www.regional-air.ro/" target="_blank">Regional Air Services</a> din Tuzla si am pus la cale un mare program, menit sa ma scoata pe mine din fata simulatorului si sa ma puna in cockpit-ul unui <a href="http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?aircraft_genericsearch=Diamond%20DA-20%20Katana%2FEclipse%2FEvolution&amp;distinct_entry=true" title="Airliner.net Photos" target="_blank">Diamond                  DA 20 Katana</a> intr-un timp cat mai scurt. Da &#8230; simpatic. Am pornit, intr-un mare final, la drum.</p>
<p>Oricum &#8230; primul pas este vizita medicala pentru PPL (private pilot license). Aici am niste mari emotii. Sper sa nu-mi cedeze motorul in timpul decolarii ca ar fi trist tare. Ramane de vazut. (no pun intended)</p>
